Muzzeloading And Skeet Shoot

The Hardy County Rod & Gun Club presents its annual turkey shoot on Saturday of Heritage Weekend at 10 a.m. at the Hardy County Rod and Gun Club. The turkey shoot is open to all persons who fire a Muzzleloader style gun. All matches are elimination tyle with prizes for each match won and overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place prizes. There is a $10 fee to enter the contest (but free to watch) and sign-ups will start at 9 a.m. at the Rod and Gun Club. Targets shot at typically include items like playing cards, charcoal briquettes, suckers, straws, rubber bands, balloons, etc. Following the turkey shoot, there will be a .22 shoot at 1 p.m., open to
all participants, at a distance of 25 yards, with a fee of $5 per five shot rounds. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the shoot.
The Hardy County Rod & Gun Club also presents its skeet shoot on Saturday of Heritage Weekend at 10 a.m. at the Hardy County Rod and Gun Club. The skeet shoot is open to all persons who fire a shotgun. There is a $10 fee per round that includes 10 shots at 10 clay birds. Tiebreakers will be 2 bird shoot-offs. Unlimited rounds are allowed. You provide the gun and ammo, we provide ear and eye protection.
The Hardy County Rod & Gun Club presents its .22 long rifle competition on Saturday of Heritage Weekend at 1 p.m. at the Hardy County Rod and Gun Club. The .22 long rifle shoot is open to all persons who fire a .22 long rifle. There will be three classes, 18 & under, Men’s and Women’s classes. There is a $5 fee per round. Unlimited rounds are allowed. The best 5-shot round wins.
