Heritage Weekend is a unique event and is the only countywide festival in West Virginia. Hardy County is seeped in rich American history and this weekend lets us share that history with its citizens. This event started in 1953 with a few good people who opened their homes and gardens as a way to raise money for the Hardy County Public Library. We are still following that tradition.

Each year, a historic home is highlighted by preserving its image on a decorative tile. This tradition was started in 1972 and all the tiles may be seen at the Moorefield Public Library. We are pleased to announce the Tile house for 2023 is the Lost River General Store located in Lost River.

The Hardy County Tour & Craft Association is thrilled to have the 70th Annual Heritage Weekend this September 22nd, 23rd, and 24th! Come participate and enjoy the food, music, arts, craft show, car show, home tours, walking tours, civil war encampments, historic church services, luminary service and many other activities that take place throughout Hardy and Grant County.
